Stay Cyber Safe Whanganui – Community Cyber Security Survey Dec 2025

Discontinued January 2026

Help us understand the real cyber safety needs of people in Whanganui.
Your voice will directly shape free support, workshops, and practical help across the district.

This short survey takes only 2–3 minutes and is completely anonymous.
By sharing your experience with scams, passwords, devices, and online safety, you’ll help us build services that genuinely meet the needs of everyday people — especially seniors, families, and anyone feeling unsure about online risks.

Why your input matters

  • It helps identify where people feel most at risk

  • It guides what topics we cover at future drop-ins

  • It informs discussions with local organisations and funders

  • It strengthens Whanganui’s resilience to online scams and fraud

  • It supports our mission to keep everyone safe, confident, and included

Thank you for taking a moment to help protect our community. Every response counts.

📌 Surveys & Community Input – 3 May 2025

As part of our early groundwork, we developed two surveys to better understand digital inclusion needs — one for stakeholders and service providers, and another for individuals from our nine priority groups.

We received a small handful of responses, which provided some helpful signals, but not enough to form a representative dataset. For that reason, we’re not publishing the responses at this time.

That said, the surveys remain available as a reference or template for others — and you’re still welcome to complete them if you’d like to register your interest or offer your perspective. We may revisit more targeted or co-designed input methods in the future as our next steps become clearer.
